Hilal Ahmed Bhat, son of Mohd Assad Ullah Bhat and a resident of Poshpora, Kupwara—currently living in Bhagani Talab Mohalla, Raipur Domana, Jammu—was arrested following the execution of an absconder warrant issued under Section 512 CrPC by the Court of the Principal Sessions Judge, Jammu. JAMMU: In a decisive move to safeguard public health and strengthen urban sanitation, the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) on Monday carried out a large-scale demolition drive against unhygienic slum structures at multiple locations across Jammu city. The drive was conducted on the directions of JMC Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav and was led by Deputy Commissioner (North) JMC Sanjay Badyal, along with the JMC Enforcement Team. JAMMU: A Pakistani intruder was apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) while attempting to cross into the Indian side from across the International Border (IB) in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officials said. According to officials, BSF personnel detected suspicious movement near Border Outpost (BOP) Ballar in the Ramgarh sector around 7 pm and promptly apprehended the intruder. The individual was immediately taken into custody for questioning, and further details are awaited, officials added.
