KATHUA: Police have arrested two interstate drug suppliers and established their backward linkages in connection with a narcotics smuggling case in Kathua district, taking the total recovery of heroin-like substance in the case to 515 grams, officials said on Thursday. Punjab: 2 AK-47 rifles, 50 cartridges recovered as illegal arms supply network busted in Amritsar
CHANDIGARH: Punjab Police on Thursday said it busted an illegal arms supply network in Amritsar with the arrest of three persons and the recovery of two AK-47 assault rifles. Additionally, 3 magazines and 50 live cartridges were also recovered from their possession, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said. NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear a petition seeking a direction to the Centre to formulate a comprehensive national policy and appropriate statutory framework for ensuring the welfare, social security and post-retirement protection of private school teachers in the country.
