MUMBAI: Filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s latest directorial Dhurandhar has crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark at the worldwide box office, the makers announced on Friday.
The film, which stars Ranveer Singh alongside Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi, has recorded a total global collection of ₹1,006.7 crore, including ₹789.8 crore at the domestic box office.
Produced by Aditya Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar under their banner B62 Studios, in collaboration with Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, the film was released in theatres on December 5.
The makers shared the milestone on Instagram, posting, “Entering the 1000 CR club, loud and proud. Book your tickets. #Dhurandhar Frenzy Continues Worldwide.”
Dhurandhar is an underworld saga that traces the intersecting lives of criminals, informants and operatives navigating a web of covert operations, espionage and betrayals.
Following the film’s massive success, the makers have also confirmed a second part, scheduled for release on March 19.
