DODA: In a significant action aimed at promoting road safety and preventing the misuse of driving privileges, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Tasleem Wani has disqualified two Driving Licences belonging to persons accused in a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The action was taken under the directions and supervision of Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal and in close coordination with District Police.
The proceedings were initiated on the basis of recommendations and details of FIR No. 239/2026, registered under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Doda.
Accordingly, the Driving Licence JK0620100002783 of Mohammad Arif, S/o Mohammadd Aayub, R/o Bershalla, Tehsil & District Doda — DL JK0620200001139 of Shohrab Hussain, S/o Mohammad Sharief, R/o Mohalla Akramabad, Tehsil & District Doda were disqualified.
The action underscores the commitment of the District Administration Doda and District Police Doda towards promoting road safety, responsible driving and preventing the misuse of driving privileges by persons involved in unlawful activities.
