RAJOURI: To familiarise field functionaries with the implementation framework for Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar & Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G), the Rural Development Department today organised a day-long workshop here in the Conference Hall of PWD Dak Bungalow.
The workshop, conducted on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, was attended by all Block Development Officers, technical staff and other concerned field functionaries. The proceedings focused on Viksit Gram Panchayat Plan Preparation which also included understanding of VB G RAM ACT 2025 being implemented with effect from July 1, 2026.
Additional District Development Commissioner Malikzada Sheraz Ul Haq presided over the workshop and emphasised the importance of proper understanding of the guidelines laid down in the Act and coordinated efforts for effective implementation of VB-G RAM G Scheme.
Assistant Commissioner Development Sheraz Chowhan, while addressing the participants, highlighted key aspects of the programme, stressing upon systematic planning, effective coordination and timely execution.
Master Trainers briefed the participants on the key provisions, planning requirements and implementation modalities of VB-G RAM G.
The State Level Master Trainer also participated virtually, delivering a technical presentation on gap identification, compilation of works which have been done and preparing VGPP in a much holistic way.
The session focused on strengthening their understanding and preparedness for effective implementation of the programme at the grassroots level.
An interactive open-house question and answer session was also held which allowed field functionaries to address ground-level operational challenges and clarify procedural doubts directly with district mentors.
Concluding the event, the Assistant Commissioner Development instructed the BDOs and field functionaries to immediately initiate local awareness camps and start grassroots planning exercises to fast-track the rollout of VB-G RAM G across the district in the spirit of Act itself.
