NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio has launched a special Jio Anniversary Offer on JioBharat to mark 10 years of connecting India, targeting feature-phone users looking to upgrade from 2G to 4G connectivity.
Under the limited-period offer, eligible JioBharat 4G phones are available for ₹1,499, bundled with six months of complimentary recharge benefits. The package includes 14GB of data every month and unlimited HD voice calling, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Jio said the offer is aimed at making digital connectivity more accessible and affordable for millions of 2G users. The company estimates that users spending around ₹199 a month on basic connectivity would spend nearly ₹1,200 over six months. With the new offer, the effective device upgrade cost is positioned at ₹299 after accounting for the bundled connectivity benefits.
The JioBharat platform also provides features beyond traditional calling and messaging, including access to 500-plus TV channels through JioTV, live cricket and entertainment on JioHotstar, music content and UPI payments through JioPay.
The phone also features Jio Safety Shield, location-monitoring capabilities, a 2.4-inch display, a 2,000mAh battery and 4G connectivity.
Jio said the anniversary initiative is part of its broader focus on digital inclusion and bringing more users into India’s digital ecosystem.
