JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu successfully organised a one-day Capacity Building Programme on Value Education in collaboration with the CBSE Centre of Excellence, Chandigarh, focusing on strengthening value-based learning and character building among students.
The programme was facilitated by Dr Isha Sharma, Vice Principal, Model Academy School, Jammu, and Kamni Kharbanda, Headmistress, Army Public School, Janglot. The resource persons shared their expertise through interactive activities, discussions and practical strategies aimed at integrating values into everyday classroom teaching.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from educators, with sessions focusing on nurturing empathy, integrity, responsibility and cooperation through the teaching-learning process. The discussions also reinforced the vision of NEP 2020, particularly its emphasis on holistic education and character development.
Speaking on the occasion, Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson, Jammu Sanskriti School, said value education forms the foundation of meaningful learning and responsible citizenship. She emphasised that teachers should lead by example and create classroom environments where values are practised and nurtured on a daily basis.
Aima expressed gratitude to the resource persons for their insightful sessions and guidance, while also appreciating CBSE and the participating educators for contributing to the success of the programme.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to nurturing compassionate, ethical and responsible individuals through value-based education.
