JAMMU: K.C. Gurukul Public School organised its Investiture Ceremony with great enthusiasm and dignity on Friday, formally inducting the newly elected Students’ Council for the academic session. The event marked a significant occasion in the school calendar, celebrating student leadership and responsibility.
The ceremony was graced by Chairperson Sanjhita Mahajan as the Chief Guest, along with Chairman Arvind Mahajan and Academic Director Anu Jandial. The programme was attended by members of the school management, faculty, students and distinguished guests.
The newly constituted Students’ Council includes Shaurya Sharma as Head Boy, Avni Kashyap as Head Girl, Ashwin Chobber as Vice Head Boy and Pavni Sharma as Vice Head Girl.
During the ceremony, badges and sashes were conferred upon the Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl. Sports Captains, Cultural Captains, Class Representatives (CRs) and other members of the Students’ Council were also formally invested with their responsibilities.
The student leaders took the oath of office, pledging to perform their duties with sincerity, dedication and integrity while upholding the values and traditions of the institution.
The badges and sashes were ceremonially presented by Chairperson Sanjhita Mahajan, Chairman Arvind Mahajan and Academic Director Anu Jandial. The dignitaries congratulated the newly elected student leaders and encouraged them to lead with confidence, responsibility and compassion while serving as role models for their fellow students.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries highlighted the true essence of leadership, emphasizing that it is not merely a position of authority but an opportunity to serve others and inspire excellence. They expressed confidence in the newly selected council and extended their best wishes for success in all future endeavours.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving students inspired and motivated to contribute positively towards the growth, development and continued excellence of K.C. Gurukul Public School.
