JAMMU: Patriotism found a powerful expression through music at Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, which hosted “Voices of the Nation 2026”, an Inter-School Patriotic Singing Competition, as part of its week-long Jashn-e-Azaadi celebrations.
Schools from across Jammu participated in the event, which showcased India’s cultural heritage, traditions and spirit of national pride through musical performances.
The competition was adjudged by an eminent jury comprising Anupama Sharma, Pt. Dharmesh Nargotra and Tsewang Dorjee. The performances were evaluated on vocal expression, musicality, stage presence and patriotic interpretation.
The event was organised under the leadership of Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson, with the school management extending support to encourage young talent and creative expression.
Sunakshi Anand, Director Operations, and Avneet Budhraja, Vice Principal, also attended the programme and encouraged the participating students.
In the competition, Model Academy secured the first position, while Army Public School, BD Bari stood second and Army Public School, Miran Sahib bagged the third position.
Consolation honours were awarded to Army Public School, Jammu Cantt; IDPS, Ghou Manhasan; and Srijan International School.
Speaking on the occasion, Rohini Aima congratulated all participating schools and young performers, saying that music transcends language and boundaries and has the power to bring hearts together.
She appreciated the students for expressing their love for the nation through melody, confidence and creativity, and also lauded the organising team for providing a meaningful platform to young talent.
The event was curated by Krishan Kumar, HOD Music, and Tanya Wazir, Co-Scholastic Manager, with support from the school’s Music Department.
“Voices of the Nation 2026” concluded as a vibrant celebration of patriotism, with young voices coming together to reflect the spirit and pride of the nation.
