Speaking to the media, JMC Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav said the Corporation was committed to developing the Suryaputri Tawi Riverfront as a vibrant, accessible and year-round public space for the people of Jammu.

Dr Yadav invited residents to visit the riverfront with their families, particularly during the morning and evening hours, and make use of its open spaces and facilities for fitness, recreation, leisure and relaxation.
He said the JMC would continue introducing public-oriented activities aimed at enhancing the riverfront’s appeal as a community space and encouraging greater citizen participation.
The yoga session was also organised in the run-up to Independence Day, adding to activities aimed at promoting unity, wellness and responsible citizenship.
The event concluded with an appeal to citizens to make yoga and regular physical activity part of their daily lives and contribute towards building a healthier, fitter and more vibrant Jammu.
