RAMBAN: As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, an impressive E-Rickshaw and Horse Riders’ Tiranga Rally was organized today in Subdivision Gool, evoking the spirit of patriotism and enthusiastic participation of the local community.
The rally, led by SDM Imtiaz Ahmed, commenced from Potato Farm and after passing through the main areas of the town concluded near the Food Store. More than 100 E-Rickshaws and horses participated in the rally, with participants carrying the National Flag and raising patriotic slogans.
The colourful rally created an atmosphere of national pride across Gool, with residents, traders, drivers, youth and other members of civil society turning out in large numbers to witness and support the event. The participation of E-Rickshaw drivers and horse riders added a unique and attractive dimension to the Tiranga campaign.
Addressing the participants, the SDM appreciated the overwhelming response from the local community and said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign is aimed at strengthening the spirit of patriotism, unity and respect for the National Flag among citizens.
He urged people to actively participate in the campaign and ensure that the Tricolour is proudly displayed at their homes and establishments in accordance with the prescribed flag code.
The rally concluded with patriotic slogans and a renewed pledge to uphold the values of unity, peace and national integrity.
Meanwhile, the Jashn-e-Azadi Mushaira was also organized as part of the celebrations commemorating the 80th Independence Day. The programme was held with the aim of promoting patriotism, peace, unity and cultural harmony among the people.
The event was attended by Tehsildar Harjeet Singh, SDPO Kuldeep Raj, CDPO Bashir Ahmed, Naib Tehsildar Intakhab Ahmed, Senior Lecturer Manzoor Ahmed, besides poets, literary personalities, officers, officials and members of civil society.
Renowned poets and literary personalities participated in the Mushaira and presented their poetry on themes of patriotism, national unity, peace and the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. The participating poets included Masroor Ahmed Bhat, Mohammad Shafi Jaral, Rehmatullah Zahid, Abdul Rashid Bhat, Shakeela Begum, Haji Feroz Din Zahid, Mohammad Sharif Qazi, Rizwan Wani, Mehboob Bhat and Masood Ahmed Gutt, among others.
The audience appreciated the soulful poetry and patriotic compositions presented by the participating poets. The Mushaira provided a vibrant platform to local poets to showcase their literary talent while conveying the message of communal harmony, peace and national integration.
