REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Kumar Abhishek today chaired a review meeting of the District Jal Jeevan Mission and District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) to assess the progress of drinking water supply projects and sanitation initiatives across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the physical and financial progress of Jal Jeevan Mission schemes, AMRUT 2.0 projects, Har Ghar Jal certification, RPWSS ID creation, the District Service Improvement Plan and the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for left-out areas under the DAJGUA programme.
Regarding works under AMRUT 2.0, the DC instructed the executing agencies to complete all pending works by next month. He directed the officers to complete Har Ghar Jal certification for all villages where water supply schemes have already been commissioned.
The meeting further reviewed progress under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Panchayat dashboard performance, the drinking water supply scenario in urban and rural areas and the implementation of the Catch the Rain campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers concerned to undertake rejuvenation of defunct borewells under the campaign to strengthen water availability, and emphasised regular monitoring and close coordination among departments to achieve the objectives of the Jal Jeevan Mission and related programmes in a time-bound manner.
Among those present were ADDC Krishan Lal, ACD Mukesh Sharma, XENs, DFO and other officers concerned.
