BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today reviewed the progress of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, asserting smooth conduct of ongoing rallies and events being organised across the district.
Chairing a meeting at the Conference Hall, the Deputy Commissioner finalised arrangements for the ensuing cycle and bike rallies scheduled for August 11 from Sports Stadium Budgam to New Bus Stand Budgam, and the mega Har Ghar Tiranga Rally scheduled for August 12 from Sports Stadium Budgam to Bihisht Zehra Park, Budgam.
He also reviewed preparations for the ‘Horrors of Partition’ event scheduled to be held at the District Headquarters on August 14.
The DC directed all concerned departments to ensure all events go on in full swing and close coordination for the smooth conduct of the programme is maintained by all concerned.
Describing Har Ghar Tiranga as an important national-level initiative, the Deputy Commissioner said the campaign provides an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and foster greater public participation in national celebrations. He directed the concerned officers to ensure seamless conduct of all rallies and events, with particular focus on coordination, safety, traffic management and public convenience.
The DC called for active participation of citizens, youth, students, civil society groups and other stakeholders, urging everyone to contribute towards making the campaign a grand success across Budgam.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Vivek Agarwal; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Taufeeq Ahmad Gazi; Additional Superintendent of Police, Sajad Bukhari; and other officers and officials.
