JAMMU: The Technical Lab Team of SP Rural Office Jammu has successfully recovered 40 missing mobile phones valued at approximately Rs 7 lakhs. These devices had been reported missing at various police stations and posts across the Rural Zone of Jammu. After carrying out daring rescue operations, constructing a 110-feet Bailey bridge to restore intercity transport, re-establishing surface connectivity, and providing food, drinking water, and medical as well as veterinary aid, the Tiger Division has now moved towards long-term livelihood revival. LEH: The Leh district of Ladakh witnessed violent protests on Wednesday morning after the health condition of two individuals supporting educationist Sonam Wangchuk’s ongoing hunger strike deteriorated. Wangchuk, who is on the 35th day of his hunger strike, has been demanding statehood for Ladakh and its inclusion under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution. JAMMU: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday announced the schedule for biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The elections will fill four vacant seats, which arose following the retirement of Mir Mohammad Fayaz and Shamsher Singh (February 10, 2021), and Ghulam Nabi Azad and Nazir Ahmed Laway (May 15, 2021).
