JAMMU: In a continuing effort to support flood-affected communities, the Tiger Division, in collaboration with NGO SayTrees, has launched a new rehabilitation initiative in Makwal, Jammu.
After carrying out daring rescue operations, constructing a 110-feet Bailey bridge to restore intercity transport, re-establishing surface connectivity, and providing food, drinking water, and medical as well as veterinary aid, the Tiger Division has now moved towards long-term livelihood revival.
As part of the initiative, families who lost their livelihood during the floods are being provided with livestock, enabling them to restart dairy and agrarian activities. The move ensures immediate sustenance while creating a sustainable source of income, empowering affected households to regain stability and self-reliance.
Local communities have widely welcomed the step, calling it a powerful example of compassion and cooperation. The initiative highlights the Tiger Division’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian assistance, nation-building, and rebuilding lives in times of crisis.
