JAMMU: Sahil Aggarwal has been elected as the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Padel Association. The announcement was formally made by Ronnie Sehgal, General Secretary of the Indian Padel Federation.
Padel, recognized as one of the fastest growing sports globally, is steadily gaining popularity in Jammu and Kashmir for its potential to engage youth in constructive and healthy physical activity. Under the affiliation of the Indian Padel Federation, the newly elected association is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting the sport at the grassroots level.
Expressing gratitude for the trust placed in him, Sahil Aggarwal emphasized that the Association’s mission extends beyond the promotion of sport. “Through physical fitness and mental well-being, we hope to divert youth away from drug and mobile addiction, channeling their energy towards a healthy and productive lifestyle,” he stated.
Aggarwal assured that dedicated efforts will be made to strengthen the presence of padel sport across the Union Territory. He added that the names of the Association’s other office bearers will be announced in due course.
His election has generated enthusiasm among sports lovers in the region, with hopes that the new leadership will provide a strong platform for nurturing young athletes and taking padel to new heights in Jammu and Kashmir.
