JAMMU: RRL High School celebrated its Annual Day for students from Pre-Nursery to Class IV with great enthusiasm and grandeur at the CSIR–Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Auditorium.
Organised on the inspiring theme “छूना है आसमान”, the event beautifully reflected the school’s vision of nurturing confidence, creativity and big dreams from the foundational years of education.
The auditorium came alive with the presence of proud parents, educators, media representatives and distinguished guests as young learners mesmerised the audience with vibrant cultural performances. Colourful dances, musical presentations and thoughtfully curated thematic acts highlighted the students’ confidence, discipline and joyful expression, showcasing RRL High School’s strong emphasis on holistic development.
The programme was graced by Pawan Parihar, JKAS, Special Secretary, Labour & Employment, as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Harpreet Anand, Chairman, Jammu Sanskrit Schools (Jammu & Kathua), and Ajeet Singh, Managing Director, Saplings International School and DRS Kids.
The occasion was further dignified by the esteemed presence of Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM Jammu, whose visionary leadership was prominently acknowledged throughout the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Pawan Parihar encouraged students to dream fearlessly and work with confidence, emphasising that belief and encouragement determine how high one can rise. He appreciated RRL High School for providing a nurturing platform where children are empowered to express themselves and build self-confidence at an early age.
Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director CSIR-IIIM Jammu, lauded the efforts of the school and its educators, stating that early exposure to creativity and self-expression helps shape confident, capable and responsible individuals.
He commended the school’s commitment to value-based education and its role in shaping the future of society.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Principal Dr. Anita Sharma, who warmly welcomed and honoured all dignitaries, guests, parents, teachers and media personnel. In her inspiring address, she shared the school’s vision of nurturing children like the rising sun—bright, confident and limitless in potential.
She also expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Zabeer Ahmed’s visionary leadership, acknowledging his guidance and the support of CSIR-IIIM Jammu in promoting excellence and inspiration in education.
The Annual Day performances stood out for their innocence, confidence and meaningful messages. Each presentation conveyed values of positivity, learning, culture and teamwork, drawing warm applause from the audience.
The school especially acknowledged the dedicated efforts of its teachers, whose patience, creativity and behind-the-scenes hard work transformed young learners into confident performers on stage.
Adding to the significance of the celebration, meritorious students from Pre-Nursery to Class IV who emerged as First, Second and Third position holders in the previous academic session were honoured with certificates and mementos. The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and the Director, CSIR-IIIM Jammu, recognising academic excellence and motivating students to strive for higher achievements. The gesture was warmly appreciated by parents and served as a source of inspiration for all learners.
The vital role of parents was also highlighted, recognising their trust, cooperation and encouragement as a strong pillar in the children’s educational journey and overall growth.
Principal Dr. Anita Sharma proposed a brief Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, Director CSIR-IIIM Jammu, distinguished scientists, parents, teachers, media representatives and students. She appreciated the collective efforts and warm support that made the Annual Day celebration meaningful and memorable.
Several senior scientists and officials from CSIR-IIIM Jammu were present on the occasion, including Dr. Asha Chaubey, Chief Scientist and Head, Fermentation and Microbial Biotechnology Division, Rajesh Gupta, Administrative Officer, and Dr. Sumit G. Gandhi, Senior Principal Scientist, adding further prestige to the event.
The Annual Day celebration reinforced RRL High School’s mission to nurture confident, value-driven learners who dare to dream big and truly believe in “छूना है आसमान.”
