JAMMU: For his outstanding service and exemplary contribution to Indian Railways, Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, will be conferred with the prestigious Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) 2025 by the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The award is being presented in recognition of Singhal’s exceptional work during 2025, particularly for introducing unprecedented improvements and innovations in commercial operations and passenger services in the Jammu Division.
Following the formation of the Jammu Division in 2025, Uchit Singhal assumed charge as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager on March 23, 2025. Under his dynamic leadership, the division witnessed remarkable enhancements in passenger amenities, operational efficiency, and revenue generation. His contributions played a key role in the successful operation of the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, upgradation of passenger facilities, and overall revitalisation of railway services in the region.
The Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar 2025 award ceremony will be held on January 9 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi, where around 100 outstanding railway employees from various zones and departments across the country will be felicitated. The honour is a matter of pride for the Jammu Division and highlights the pivotal role of railway personnel in nation-building.
Expressing his gratitude, Uchit Singhal said, “This recognition is the outcome of the collective sincerity and hard work of the entire Jammu Division. It acknowledges the dedicated efforts made to enhance passenger comfort, safety and convenience. This achievement belongs to every employee of the division who has contributed wholeheartedly towards improving railway services.”
