LEH: In a major development symbolizing the return of peace and stability, the Union Territory of Ladakh has witnessed complete restoration of normalcy with the lifting of all restrictions, restoration of internet services, and smooth functioning of schools, colleges, and transport services across the region.
Chairing a high-level security review meeting in Leh, Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta expressed satisfaction over the prevailing calm and commended the administration, security forces, and citizens for their coordinated efforts in restoring peace.
“The people of Ladakh have shown exemplary patience and unity during recent challenges. Their cooperation has been instrumental in restoring normal life,” the Lt Governor said, emphasizing that the situation reflects citizens’ trust in the administration’s commitment to safety, stability, and inclusive growth.
Praising the patriotic spirit of Ladakh’s residents, Gupta said, “Ladakhis have always stood shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the country in safeguarding national interests.” He urged the people to remain vigilant and continue contributing to the development and prosperity of the Union Territory.
The Lt Governor reiterated the administration’s focus on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment, and assured that every initiative will remain people-centric and transparent.
He also directed officials to maintain close coordination and heightened vigilance to sustain peace and public convenience in the region.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Dr. Pawan Kotwal, DGP Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, DIG CRPF P.R. Jambolkar, DC Leh, SSP Leh, CO 79 Bn CRPF Sanjay Kumar, and other senior officers.
