JAMMU: Martand Singh, Trustee of the Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust (JKDT), conducted a comprehensive review of the arrangements being put in place for the smooth, peaceful, and orderly celebration of Maha Shivratri 2026 at the historic Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir, Jammu, scheduled for February 14 and 15.
During the review meeting, Secretary JKDT, Ashok Sharma, briefed the Trustee on various aspects of festival preparedness, including religious ceremonies, crowd management, security coordination, sanitation, electricity, drinking water facilities, and other essential civic arrangements. He also informed about the finalized routes of the Shobha Yatra, with due coordination with civil and police authorities to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees.
Emphasizing the sanctity of the occasion, Martand Singh stressed the need to uphold religious traditions and rituals at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple during Maha Shivratri. He said the Dharmarth Trust is committed to facilitating a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for the large number of devotees expected to visit the temple during the festival.
Apart from Jammu, the Trustee also reviewed Maha Shivratri preparations in the Kashmir Division. Arrangements at prominent shrines including Shri Shankaracharya Mandir, Srinagar; Gauri Shankar Mandir, Pahalgam; and Maharani Mandir, Gulmarg were assessed to ensure uniform facilities and strict adherence to traditional practices across all temples managed by the Trust.
Additional Secretary JKDT Varinder Singh Jamwal, Manager Brij Mohan Sharma, and Administrator Arjun Singh were also present during the review and actively participated in discussions related to festival arrangements.
