JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Pickleball Association (JKAPA) has announced that Jammu will host the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) 9th National Championship from September 26 to 28, marking the biggest pickleball event ever held in the region.
The tournament will bring together leading pickleball players from across the country, highlighting the sport’s rapid growth in India and the strengthening sports culture in Jammu & Kashmir.
“We are proud and excited to welcome the nation’s finest athletes to Jammu. This is not just a tournament—it is a celebration of sportsmanship and unity,” said a JKAPA spokesperson.
Since 2013, AIPA has successfully hosted its national championships across different cities, building a strong legacy for the sport.
Addressing the ongoing matter between AIPA and another association, JKAPA emphasized that the issue is sub judice, with judgment reserved by the court. “Our priority is to ensure a smooth, professional, and competitive Nationals in Jammu. We urge all players to stay focused on their game and let the court handle legal matters,” the spokesperson added.
Welcoming the proposed National Sports Governance Bill, JKAPA noted that while its implementation may take another six months, it is expected to significantly transform sports governance in India.

The AIPA 9th National Championship is set to be a milestone for Jammu’s sports infrastructure and recognition. By hosting this prestigious event, JKAPA aims to inspire a new generation of athletes and position Jammu as a hub for emerging sports in India.
