JAMMU: Captain Hansja Sharma, the country’s first Rudra helicopter pilot, is set to lead the 251 Army Aviation Squadron during the upcoming Republic Day parade, bringing laurels to Jammu and Kashmir.
A native of Jammu, Captain Sharma earlier created history by winning the Silver Cheetah Trophy at the Combat Aviation Training School in Nashik. Now, she has achieved another milestone by being chosen to lead her squadron in the prestigious national parade.
During the parade rehearsals, Captain Hansja Sharma was seen leading her squadron in a jeep mounted with the HELINA guided missile system, demonstrating the advanced strike capabilities of the Army Aviation Corps. The HELINA missile, launched from the Rudra helicopter platform, is capable of precisely destroying enemy targets.
