JAMMU: The Khelo India Asmita Kickboxing Women League – North Zone 2026 was successfully held at the University of Jammu from January 22 to 25, witnessing enthusiastic participation and impressive performances by young athletes from across the region.
Students of Jammu Sanskriti School made the institution proud with their commendable sportsmanship and determination at the prestigious event. Taniya Singh, mentored by Shalvi Saini, brought laurels to the school by winning a Bronze Medal along with a cash prize of ₹4,000.
Other students who represented the school with zeal and commitment included Meghna Sharma, Ayushi Choudhary, and Shubampreet Kour, showcasing dedication and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
The opening ceremony was marked by a melodious welcome group song performed by eight Middle Wing students under the guidance of Gulshan Kumar (Music) and Kapil (Tabla), setting an inspiring tone for the event.
Adding cultural vibrance to the league, ten Class IV students presented a graceful dance performance during the closing ceremony, earning widespread appreciation from the audience and securing a cash prize of ₹11,000. The performance was mentored by Sabha Majid (TGT Dance) and Ritika Sountra (PRT Dance).
Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima congratulated all participants and mentors for their outstanding achievements. She lauded their dedication, discipline, and teamwork, emphasizing the role of sports and cultural activities in fostering holistic education.
The school fraternity expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing talent and excellence in the future.
