JAMMU: In a major crackdown on alleged illegal and immoral activities, Jammu Police, South Zone, carried out simultaneous surprise raids at multiple spa centres under the jurisdiction of Police Station Channi Himmat in Sub-Division East, Jammu.
The coordinated operation was launched following repeated complaints from civil society members about suspected unlawful activities at certain spa centres. Jammu Police conducted the raids in collaboration with the civil administration.
Police teams, led by the SHO Police Station Channi Himmat and accompanied by lady police personnel and an Executive Magistrate, carried out thorough inspections of the premises. During the operation, documents and registers maintained by the spa centres were scrutinised, while DVRs and other incriminating materials were seized from suspicious locations for further examination. Several individuals were also detained for questioning as part of the investigation.
The action was carried out under the close supervision of the SDPO East and SP City South, with overall supervision by the SSP Jammu.
In this connection, FIR No. 237/2025 has been registered under Section 24 of the Immigration Act/Foreigners Act and Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway to determine the involvement of any wider network.
Jammu Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring a safe and lawful environment for all citizens. The action has received widespread appreciation from the public and on social media platforms.
