JAMMU: Indian Army troops opened fire at a suspected Pakistani drone after it was detected during routine surveillance along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district on Tuesday evening.
Official sources said the drone was seen hovering over forward areas, prompting alert troops to engage it as a precautionary measure. The flying object reportedly returned across the LoC after the firing.
Security forces have intensified surveillance and vigilance along the LoC in view of repeated attempts of drone intrusions from across the border, officials added.
