JAMMU: Heritage School on Tuesday hosted a Cap Presentation Ceremony in collaboration with The Golf Foundation and with support from the BMW India Foundation, aimed at recognising and nurturing young golfing talent at the grassroots level.
The initiative focused on identifying students with potential in golf and providing them with professional-level training and assessment. As many as 40 students participated in the programme, reflecting the school’s commitment to inclusivity, discipline and excellence in sports.
The ceremony was graced by Chairman of Heritage School, Sunil Gupta, and Trustee Rohit Gupta. The presence of the Principal, Vice Principal and Headmistress further underscored the institution’s emphasis on holistic development through sports.
Addressing the students, Sunil Gupta said that the event was not merely about recognising skill, but about identifying potential, discipline and passion for the sport. “The cap you receive today symbolises opportunity, encouragement and belief in your talent,” he said, urging students to remain committed, uphold integrity and strive for excellence both on and off the course.
Gupta also appreciated the continued support of Shaukat Maqbool in nurturing young golfing talent and promoting the sport among students.
On the occasion, a memento was presented to the BMW India Foundation, which was received on its behalf by Shaukat Maqbool, Director, Golf Academy.
The event concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing the values of discipline, dedication and sportsmanship among young athletes.
