MUMBAI: A Liberia-flagged crude oil tanker captained by an Indian reached Mumbai Port after safely transiting the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The tanker Shenlong Suezmax, carrying crude oil loaded at Ras Tanura Port in Saudi Arabia, arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday after receiving clearance from Iran to pass through the narrow waterway, according to the Mumbai Port Trust. JAMMU: In a major success against drug trafficking, Jammu and Kashmir Police in coordination with the Border Security Force (101 Battalion) recovered a huge consignment of high-grade narcotics, suspected to have been dropped by a drone, from agricultural fields on the outskirts of Bahadurpur village in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah in Jammu district. An Air India Express aircraft made a hard landing at Phuket International Airport on Wednesday, damaging its landing gear and forcing authorities to temporarily close the runway, disrupting incoming flights. The incident occurred around noon on March 11 when a Boeing 737 MAX 8 operating the Hyderabad–Phuket route experienced a problem during landing.
