ANANTNAG: Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Achabal organised its Annual Day cum Grand Parent Teacher Meet with great enthusiasm and active participation of students, parents, teachers and members of the civil society.
The programme was graced by the MLA Abdul Majeed Larmi as the Chief Guest. DEPO Anantnag, Assadullah Mir, attended the function as the Guest of Honour, while ZEO Achabal, Liyaqat Ahmad Chachi, and BMO Achabal, Dr. Akhter Hussain, were present as Special Guests.
A large number of parents, students, teachers and members of the civil society attended the function. The programme provided a platform to showcase the academic, cultural and co-curricular achievements of the students and to strengthen meaningful interaction between parents and teachers.
A major highlight of the occasion was the release of the school’s maiden Annual Magazine, “Shuhaab.” The magazine reflects the creativity, literary talent and achievements of the students and provides them with a platform to express their ideas, thoughts and aspirations.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Abdul Majeed Larmi highlighted the significant role played by teachers in shaping society and nurturing responsible and enlightened citizens. He appreciated the efforts of the school authorities, teachers and students in organising the Annual Day and bringing out the school’s first annual magazine.
DEPO Anantnag, in his address, emphasised the importance of collective efforts for the progress and prosperity of the education system. He highlighted the crucial role of parents, teachers and civil society in creating a supportive educational environment and ensuring the proper academic and overall development of children.
ZEO Achabal, and BMO Achabal, also appreciated the initiative of the school and the active involvement of parents and students in the programme.
The students presented a variety of cultural and educational items, showcasing their talent, confidence and creativity. The performances added colour and vibrancy to the event and were appreciatedby the audience.
The Annual Day concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the commitment of the school towards academic excellence, creativity, character building and holistic development of students, while strengthening the bond between the school, parents and the wider community.
