LEH: Telecommunications major Airtel has inaugurated its first retail store in Ladakh, marking a significant step in expanding its customer presence and service network in the Union Territory.
The store was formally inaugurated in the presence of senior Airtel officials, including Vikram RS Chand, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Shart Kotwal, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Nishant Jain, Marketing Head – Jammu & Kashmir, along with other company representatives.
The launch reflects Airtel’s commitment to strengthening its retail footprint and enhancing customer experience in Ladakh by providing direct access to a wide range of telecom services.
The newly opened outlet will serve as a one-stop destination for customers seeking new mobile connections, SIM upgrades, bill payments, broadband-related assistance, device support, and other telecom services. The company said the store is designed to offer a seamless and personalized customer experience while reducing dependence on remote support channels.
Airtel stated that the initiative aligns with its broader strategy of bringing world-class telecom services closer to customers, even in some of the country’s most remote and geographically challenging regions.
The company said the opening of its first retail store in Ladakh represents a key milestone in deepening connectivity, improving service accessibility, and strengthening customer engagement across the region.
