KALAKOTE: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma, today convened a public outreach camp at the Municipal Hall, Kalakote, as part of the Weekly Block Diwas, providing the locals residents an opportunity to put forth their issues and concerns before the district administration.
During the interaction, the public raised various issues related to water, power supply, road connectivity and municipal services. The people also sought installation of CCTV cameras in the municipal area for strengthening safety and security arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the public and assured that their genuine concerns would be addressed on priority. He directed the concerned officers to take necessary measures for timely resolution of the genuine grievances and ensure effective delivery of essential services.
Regarding the road connectivity damaged due to recent incessant rains, the Deputy Commissioner assured the public that permanent restoration works would be undertaken to improve road connectivity and facilitate smoother movement.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that providing basic amenities and essential services at the doorsteps of the people remains a priority of the district administration. He said concerted efforts are being made to address public concerns at the grassroots level and ensure that the benefits of government services and development reach every section of society.
As part of the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the office of the Tehsildar Kalakote and reviewed its functioning and delivery of public services. He stressed upon the officers to remain accessible to the public and ensure prompt, transparent and citizen-centric service delivery.
He further called upon the field functionaries to maintain close coordination, regularly assess local requirements and work proactively towards resolving issues faced by the people.
Among the others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalakote Mohd Tanvir; Tehsildar Kalakote and other officers were present on the occasion.
