RAJOURI: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, Malikzada Sheraz-ul-Haq today chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Rural Development Department (RDD).
The meeting reviewed the progress of works under District capex, UT Capex Budget 2026-27 and Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) VB-G RAM G.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Rajouri Sheraz Chouhan; all Block Development Officers (BDOs), Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), AEs, JEs and other concerned officials.
The ADDC took a detailed block-wise and work-wise review for physical and financial achievements under District Capex Budget, UT Capex Budget, Tribal Sub plan and VB G RAM G.
The ADDC set a timeline of four days for starting up all works for which tenders have been opened and L1 declared or allotment made.
The BDOs were directed to release all the pending payment of ongoing works within two days only.
The ADDC stressed to complete the works strictly as per timelines laid down by the finance department.
Reviewing VB-G RAM G implementation, the ADDC inquired about person-days generated, release of wage payments, Aadhaar seeding, job card verification and status of convergence works. He directed the BDOs to ensure timely wage payments, accelerate completion of ongoing works, eKYC and prioritize creation of durable assets.
The ADDC emphasized on maintaining quality and transparency, expediting tendering and execution processes and ensuring full utilization of funds. He instructed field functionaries to conduct regular field inspections and upload daily progress on designated portals.
The Rural Engineering Wing was directed to ensure strict technical supervision and quality control, while ACD was asked to monitor progress closely and submit a consolidated daily report to the Deputy Commissioner Office.
