ANANTNAG: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, today inaugurated a new Barista Hybrid cafe at Mattan Main Chowk, marking a significant addition to the local commercial and hospitality landscape.
MLAs Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Zafar Ali Khatana and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the growing tourist and visitor footfall in Kashmir presents considerable opportunities in the hospitality and service sectors, particularly for young entrepreneurs. He said the establishment of branded outlets in emerging locations can contribute to local employment and stimulate economic activity.
Javid Dar said the Government is promoting youth entrepreneurship in the hospitality and allied sectors through various schemes, including PMFME, Mission Yuva and other UT-level initiatives, besides providing support through programmes of the Agriculture Production Department. He urged young people to make use of these opportunities and explore viable business ventures suited to local demand and emerging markets.
The Minister congratulated the management of the Barista Hybrid Café and appreciated the initiative to establish the outlet at Mattan. He said such investments can encourage more young people to take up entrepreneurship and create employment opportunities locally.
