BUDGAM: To accelerate the implementation of Mission YUVA and ensure timely financial assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Vivek Agarwal, today chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Budgam to assess the pendency of cases with various bank branches.
The meeting was attended by Branch Managers of 18 bank branches having the highest number of pending Mission YUVA cases.
During the meeting, the ADDC conducted a detailed branch-wise review of pending applications and emphasized the need for their expeditious disposal so that eligible beneficiaries receive financial assistance without undue delay.
Highlighting the importance of Mission YUVA in promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth, the ADDC directed the Branch Managers to expedite the processing and sanctioning of eligible cases while maintaining close coordination with the concerned Mission YUVA motivators and district-level officials.
The ADDC assigned specific disposal targets to each bank branch and instructed all Branch Managers to achieve the assigned targets within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed that delays in processing applications adversely impact employment generation and the effective implementation of the flagship programme, urging banks to adopt a proactive and result-oriented approach.
The Branch Managers assured the chair that all pending cases would be processed on priority and every effort would be made to achieve the assigned targets within the prescribed timeline.
