JAMMU: KC Gurukul Public School, Paloura celebrated its 15th Annual Day with great zeal and splendour at Abhinav Theatre, Canal Road, under the inspiring theme “SAMBHAV – Nothing is Impossible.” The celebration reflected fifteen years of dedicated growth in education, culture, and overall student development.
The event was graced by R. N. Sharma (IAS), Secretary School Education Department, J&K, as the Chief Guest.
More than 470 students participated in a series of cultural presentations, showcasing their talent, discipline, and creativity through performances based on compassion, patriotism, mindfulness, and the spirit of achieving the impossible.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Academic Director Anu Jandial, followed by Ganesh Vandana to invoke blessings.
A colourful Garba performance by kindergarten students lit up the stage, while acts like Old vs New, Qawaali, and a tribute to parents portrayed strong emotion and cultural flavour.
Principal Ms. Mamta Sharma presented the Annual Report, highlighting academic achievements and the school’s progress over the past year. Students further enthralled the audience with performances including Yoga, Kalyug, Dandi March, Gautam Buddha, and Operation Sindoor, the latter saluting India’s brave martyrs.
A patriotic performance of Vande Mataram, marking 150 years of the historic song, stirred national pride. The programme concluded with a high-spirited Bhangra performance.
Prominent dignitaries present included Chairman Arvind Mahajan, Chairperson Sanjhita Mahajan, Vice Chairman Aarush Chowdhary, and Academic Director Anu Jandial.
A special prize distribution ceremony was held to honour meritorious and outstanding sports achievers, with awards presented by the Chief Guest.
In his address, Sharma praised the school for its commitment to holistic education and applauded the students for their stellar performances.
The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Vice Chairman Aarush Chowdhary, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, parents, staff, and students for their support in making the celebration a resounding success.
