JAMMU: Stephens Group of Institutions successfully organised EKTRAN 2.0, its annual youth festival themed “Uttar-E-Rang,” bringing together vibrant talent, creativity and leadership from colleges across Jammu.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 students representing 15 premier institutions, including GGM Science College, KC Law College, Bee Enn College of Nursing, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing, MIET, Government Nursing College Gangyal, Cluster University, ASCIPS College, Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing, University of Jammu’s Law Department, and others, along with the host institute.
The fest opened with a formal inauguration ceremony led by Dr. Kamal Saini, Chairman, Stephens Group of Institutions, and Satvinder Saini, Director, SGOI, followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana and an energetic Bhangra performance that set the stage for the day’s colourful events.
A highlight of the fest was the debate competition featuring 11 teams deliberating on the topic:
“Spread of Globalisation is responsible for surge in economic nationalism and conservative politics.”
GGM Science College secured first place, while Stephens College of Nursing, KC Law College, and Government Nursing College Gangyal followed.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Rameshwar Singh, MLA, and Guest of Honour Parimoksh Seth, BJP Spokesperson, and featured cultural presentations followed by the prize distribution.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Dr. Kamal Saini appreciated the dedication of students, judges, faculty members, and volunteers in making EKTRAN 2.0 a grand success. The event concluded with a lively musical evening, leaving participants and guests with memorable moments.
EKTRAN 2.0 reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to nurturing creativity, leadership, and collaboration among the youth, providing a dynamic platform for students to shine.
