POONCH: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)–PRAGATI.
Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer and other district officers and concerned stakeholders attended the meeting.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the effective implementation of the NAPS–PRAGATI initiative in the district. The DDC stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned departments and institutions to ensure that the objectives of the scheme are achieved effectively.
The meeting also focused on generating greater awareness among eligible youth regarding apprenticeship opportunities and strengthening coordination with educational institutions, government departments and private establishments for providing suitable apprenticeship opportunities.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to work in a coordinated manner and take necessary measures for the timely implementation of the scheme. He emphasized that concerted efforts should be made to maximize the benefits of the programme for the youth of district Poonch.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from the concerned departments and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and regular monitoring of the scheme in the district.
