JAMMU: A delegation of Ayoti Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit working towards strengthening educational opportunities for children in rural India, today called on Director School Education Jammu Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary and held detailed discussions on the Foundation’s ongoing educational interventions and proposed initiatives in Jammu & Kashmir.
Personnel Officer, Directorate of School Education Jammu Manisha, was also present during the meeting.
The interaction focused particularly on Ayoti’s ongoing initiatives for the development and improvement of government schools in district Reasi, besides its broader plans for supporting educational infrastructure and learning opportunities across Jammu & Kashmir.
Dr. Chowdhary took keen interest in the work being undertaken by the Foundation and appreciated its efforts towards strengthening school infrastructure and addressing the diverse educational needs of children. He also acknowledged the value of initiatives that seek to supplement institutional efforts through community and philanthropic participation.
Ayoti Foundation has been undertaking a range of interventions aimed at providing holistic support to Government schools and students. These include renovation and infrastructure upgradation of schools, morning breakfast and dry-ration support for children, distribution of school uniforms, books and stationery, deployment of skilled teachers, free computer education and support for other essential educational requirements.
The Director School Education Jammu appreciated the Foundation’s comprehensive approach, observing that the quality of education is shaped not merely within the classroom, but also by the environment, resources and opportunities surrounding a child.
PO Manisha also engaged with the delegation on the practical and institutional dimensions of the proposed initiatives, emphasising the importance of ensuring that philanthropic interventions remain aligned with the educational priorities and requirements of Government schools.
The delegation briefed the Director about Ayoti’s ongoing projects and its plans for undertaking further educational and school development initiatives across Jammu & Kashmir. Discussions were also held on areas where future interventions could contribute towards improving school facilities and expanding educational opportunities for students.
The delegation expressed its gratitude to Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary for his valuable time, encouragement and keen interest in the Foundation’s work, as well as to Ms. Manisha for her participation and engagement during the discussions.
