BUDGAM: The Phase- I of district-level teachers’ training programme under the ‘Classes of Joy’ initiative, based on the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach, culminated today in Budgam.
Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, who presided over the culmination ceremony, interacted with participating teachers, seeking feedback on the training programme and its outcomes.
The programme was organised by the District Administration Budgam in collaboration with the School Education Department and Pratham Education Foundation, aimed at strengthening foundational learning and improving classroom practices.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of joyful, child-centred and activity-based learning to bridge learning gaps and strengthen Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). He urged teachers to effectively apply the training and create engaging and inclusive classrooms.
Teachers shared their experiences and feedback, highlighting the usefulness of the TaRL-based methodologies in making learning more interactive and effective.
The initiative reflects the District Administration’s commitment to teacher capacity building, innovation and improving learning outcomes across the District.
The Chief Education Officer, Budgam, also highlighted the importance of innovative and joyful pedagogical practices in strengthening the teaching-learning process and promoting the holistic development of students.
