RAMBAN: Intensifying Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and Vande Mataram celebrations, the district administration Ramban organised a mega Tiranga Bike Rally at Banihal, evoking an overwhelming response from students, youth, security personnel, civil society members and the general public.
The programme commenced with the mass recitation of Vande Mataram, followed by the National Anthem, setting the tone for the day-long celebrations dedicated to patriotism, national unity and pride in the Tricolour.
An early Har Ghar Tiranga Rally was also taken out from Lamber Ground, in which local youth, students and members of the public participated with great enthusiasm. Carrying and waving the National Flag, the participants raised patriotic slogans.
The mega Tiranga Bike Rally subsequently commenced from Lamber Ground, Banihal, with hundreds of participants riding motorcycles adorned with the National Flag. The rally proceeded along the old Srinagar-Jammu National Highway towards Kharpora Chowk and adjoining areas, before returning back to the starting point, where it culminated peacefully.
Police personnel, CRPF officers and personnel, representatives from civil society, transporters, students, teachers and other sections of society participated in the rally, making it a vibrant public celebration of the Tricolour.
The sight of hundreds of motorcycles moving with the National Flags created an impressive display of patriotism and national pride across Banihal. Participants expressed their commitment to the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga, encouraging every household to proudly hoist the National Flag ahead of Independence Day.
A series of other patriotic activities were also organised across Sub-Division Banihal as part of the campaign, with active participation from local communities, students, youth and government departments.
The event was graced by the Commander 11 Sector Brigadier Ajay Pal Singh, Commanding Officers of 12 Rashtriya Rifles, 23 Rashtriya Rifles and 166 Battalion CRPF, besides ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, Additional SP Mujeeb Ur Rehman, SDM Mohammad Naseeb Bajran, senior officers and other stakeholders.
