BANDIPORA: The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 witnessed further momentum across District Bandipora on Tuesday, with educational institutions, Panchayats, Urban Local Bodies and various departments organising Tiranga rallies, cultural programmes, awareness activities and other initiatives to showcase patriotism, unity and pride in the National Flag.
Tiranga rallies were organised at several educational institutions and locations across the district, including Higher Secondary School Bagh, HSS Mantrigam, HSS Aloosa, HSS Chanpal, HS Tarabal, Government PM Shri Higher Secondary School Shahgund, Cluster HSS Quilmuqam, GDC Bandipora, GDC Sumbal and GDC Gurez. Rallies were also conducted across Panchayats and blocks including Nadihal B, Badugam Tulail, Mangnipora, Aloosa, Naidkhai, Kehnusa B, Turkpora, Quil A, Muqam-A, Malangam C, Nowgam, Kema, Onagam B, Arin, Bagtore, Benlipore, Bonkoot and other areas.
Students, staff members and local communities participated enthusiastically, carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans.
The campaign also witnessed active participation from the Fisheries Department, which organised boat rallies at different areas of Wular Lake, including Lahrwalpora, Zurimanz and Kulhama. The Department of Youth Services and Sports and other field-level institutions also took part in the campaign through Tiranga-themed activities, while various Panchayats and local institutions organised rallies and community participation programmes.
In the health sector, awareness and participation activities were organised by AAM (AYUSH) Nadihal in collaboration with Government Girls Higher Secondary School Nadihal, focusing on mental health, road safety and drug abuse. National Flags were also distributed among students to promote patriotism, unity and a sense of responsibility.
Similarly, AHWC Aloosa, in collaboration with Government Middle School Sheikh Muqam Aloosa, organised a flag distribution drive, selfie booths, display stands and a holistic health and awareness camp as part of the campaign.
The campaign also provided a platform for academic and co-curricular activities. Government Degree College Ajas student Majid Hassan Khan secured the first position in an Inter-College Debate Competition on the theme “Role of J&K Youth in Making Bharat@2047” and was selected to represent District Bandipora at the forthcoming Divisional-Level Debate Competition. GDC Bandipora also secured the first position in an Inter-College National Anthem Competition held at the college campus.
The activities were organised as part of the district-wide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 and the commemoration of 150 years of “Vande Mataram”, aimed at strengthening patriotic spirit, public participation, national unity and respect for the Tricolour across District Bandipora.
