KATRA: Reasi Police on Tuesday organised a Tiranga Rally from Sool Chowk to Sanjeevani, Kakryal Narayana Hospital, as part of its initiatives to promote patriotism, national unity and community awareness.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from the staff and students of Delhi Public School, Kakryal, along with local residents.
Participants carried the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans during the foot march, reflecting a strong spirit of unity and community participation.
After the rally, SP Katra Kameshwar Puri, JKPS, addressed the participants and delivered an awareness lecture on the growing menace of drug abuse and cyber crime.
He highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse and stressed the need for coordinated efforts by students, parents, educational institutions and the wider community to prevent drug addiction.
On cyber crime, the SP advised participants to remain alert against online frauds, suspicious links, fake calls, fraudulent messages and other cyber-enabled offences.
He emphasised the importance of following safe digital practices and reporting cyber fraud or suspicious online financial transactions without delay.
Participants were advised to report cyber crimes through the Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal to enable timely intervention and help minimise financial losses.
The programme concluded with an appeal for greater public participation in combating drug abuse and cyber crime while strengthening patriotism, unity and responsible citizenship.
