RAMBAN: The District Administration Ramban on Monday organised a Tiranga Rally and a series of patriotic activities at Sansar transforming the picturesque tourist destination into a spectacular celebration of national pride, unity and patriotism
Celebrating the legacy of Tiranga and National Song Vande Mataram, the vibrant colours of the National Flag added to the beauty of sparkling Lake and the neighborhoods.
The event was led by Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan and witnessed the participation of SSP Arun Gupta, ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo, ACD Sheraz Ahmed, CEO, CMO, Tehsildars, DIO and other senior officers. Nearly 5,000 students, youth and local residents joined the celebrations with great enthusiasm, while tourists visiting Sanasar also became part of the patriotic festivities.
The programme commenced with the collective singing of Vande Mataram, followed by the National Anthem, with participants joining in unison and setting a patriotic tone for the day.
The scenic beauty of Sanasar provided a unique backdrop to the celebrations, with the hills, meadows and lakeside area beautifully adorned with the Tricolour. The major attractions included a Tiranga Shikara Rally, Tiranga Horse Riders’ Rally and a spectacular display of 1500 metres of the National Flag around Sanasar Lake.
The sprawling display of the 1500-metre-long Tricolour around the lake was the most captivating highlight of the event, offering a memorable spectacle against the backdrop of the majestic mountains.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign is aimed at taking the spirit of patriotism beyond ceremonial celebrations and encouraging every citizen to associate with the National Flag with pride and respect.
The DC said that the overwhelming participation witnessed at Sanasar reflects the deep sense of national pride among the people of Ramban, particularly the youth and students. He appreciated the efforts of all departments, educational institutions and general public and participants for making the event a memorable celebration.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign will continue across District Ramban till August 17, with a series of patriotic and community-based activities being organised at every nook and corner of the district. He urged the people to participate enthusiastically in all the events and activities being organised across the district and make the campaign a truly people’s movement to uphold the values of unity, harmony, patriotism and respect for the National Flag.
