SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today chaired a preparatory meeting to review and finalize arrangements for the upcoming grand Tiranga celebration scheduled to be held in the district on August 12, 2026.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of arrangements pertaining to venue management, seating, security, traffic regulation, sanitation, power and water supply, decoration, cultural programmes, public participation and other logistical requirements.
The concerned officers and departments were directed to ensure close coordination and meticulous planning for the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
The meeting concluded with directions to the concerned departments to remain fully geared up and ensure flawless execution of the programme.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, GM, DIC, Sharjeel Ali Naik, ASP, Shopian, Rameez Raja, ACD, Muzaffar Ahmed, Principal GDC Tariq Hussain Mir, CEO, MC, Suhail Ahmad, DIO, Sajad Ahmed Shah and other concerned officers.
