PULWAMA: A one-day training-cum-demonstration programme on the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP) Portal was today organised at the Circuit House, Pulwama, under the supervision of General Manager DIC Pulwama to enhance the capacity of district officers and officials in the effective use of the digital platform for integrated infrastructure planning and coordinated project implementation.
The training programme was attended by district/sectoral officers and officials from various government departments. Resource persons imparted comprehensive training through presentations, live demonstrations and hands-on sessions on the features and functionalities of the PM Gati Shakti Portal.
During the programme, participants were briefed about the objectives of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, which aims to promote integrated planning, improve multimodal connectivity and facilitate coordinated execution of infrastructure projects through a GIS-based digital platform.
The resource persons demonstrated the portal login process, user registration, access management, Data Upload Management System (DUMS) and various analytical tools available on the portal.
Hands-on sessions were conducted to familiarise the participants with data layer creation, uploading and validation procedures, enabling departments to efficiently map and update infrastructure assets on the portal. The participants were also apprised of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) workflow and the maker-checker-approver mechanism for ensuring quality and accuracy of uploaded data.
Interactive discussions and a question-and-answer session were held during the programme, wherein participants raised queries regarding portal operations, GIS mapping and departmental data integration, which were addressed by the resource persons.
