KATHUA: A Mega Medical Camp was organized today at Government Degree College (GDC) Ramkote under the aegis of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, UT of Jammu and Kashmir and National Health Mission (NHM).
The camp was coordinated by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and NSS Unit of the college, in collaboration with the Office of the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Billawar and under overall supervision of the School Principal Dr Rakesh Kumar Koul.
The initiative was aimed at promoting health awareness and facilitating access to essential preventive and curative healthcare services for the college community. Nearly 70 students, faculty members availed themselves of the healthcare facilities provided by the medical team from PHC Ramkote.
The beneficiaries underwent comprehensive health check-up, including blood pressure, blood sugar assessments and Chest X-ray. The visiting healthcare team provided preventive healthcare guidance, medical consultation and curative services, besides sensitising participants about the importance of regular health check-ups, early detection of health conditions and adoption of healthy lifestyle practices.
