JAMMU: KC International School successfully concluded the three-day KC International Youth Conclave (KCIYC) 2026, held from June 1 to June 3, bringing together more than 372 student delegates from leading schools across the region in a celebration of leadership, diplomacy, and global awareness.
The conclave served as a dynamic platform for intellectual engagement, youth empowerment, and collaborative learning, fostering meaningful dialogue among participants on issues of national and global significance.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Vidhu Shekhar, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu. Guests of Honour included Rajesh Baru, JKRS, Course Director, Revenue Training Institute, Jammu, and Deepak Khajuria, Senior Journalist.
The event was also attended by Chaitanya Chowdhary, President, KC International School, and Anupama Sinha, Principal, KC International School.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Roma Gupta, Vice Principal, KC International School, who extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, educators, and student delegates.
The closing ceremony celebrated excellence in diplomacy and leadership, with outstanding delegates receiving recognition for their performances during the conclave. Members of the Secretariat, Executive Board, and Organising Committee were also felicitated for their dedication and valuable contributions to the successful conduct of KCIYC 2026.
Addressing the gathering, Vidhu Shekhar, IAS, highlighted the importance of meaningful dialogue, cooperation, and responsible leadership in an increasingly interconnected world. He encouraged students to develop into compassionate, informed, and proactive global citizens capable of contributing positively to society.
One of the major highlights of the evening was the announcement of the prestigious School Delegation Awards. In a gesture of exemplary hospitality, host institution KC International School voluntarily withdrew itself from the competition.
KC Public School secured the Best School Delegation Award, while GD Goenka Public School was declared the First Runner-Up. Jodhamal Public School emerged as the Second Runner-Up.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Anupama Sinha, Principal, KC International School. She expressed gratitude to the distinguished dignitaries, participating schools, educators, delegates, parents, and members of the organising team for their support and contribution towards making KCIYC 2026 a resounding success.
As the curtains came down on KCIYC 2026, delegates departed with enriched perspectives, enhanced leadership skills, and a renewed commitment to fostering a more informed, inclusive, and interconnected world.
