BARAMULLA: As part of its continued efforts to ensure the selection of suitable candidates for the Management Development Programme (MDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme, the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), District Office Baramulla, today organized an orientation programme in collaboration with the Department of Industries & Commerce and the Labour Department.
The programme aimed to sensitize prospective participants about the objectives of the MDP and highlight the importance of skill enhancement and capacity building in promoting sustainable growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Speaking on the occasion, Labour Officer Baramulla, Javed Ahmad Shah, and President, Industrial Estate Baramulla, Haji Mohammad Ashraf Khan, underscored the significance of continuous skill development in improving the competitiveness, productivity, and long-term sustainability of the MSME sector.
District President, Industrial Association Baramulla, Mohd Imran, along with Functional Managers from the Department of Industries & Commerce and other officials, emphasized that capacity-building initiatives under the RAMP Scheme are instrumental in empowering entrepreneurs, fostering innovation, and creating a resilient MSME ecosystem.
The speakers encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs and MSME representatives to actively participate in such programmes to enhance their managerial and entrepreneurial capabilities.
All dignitaries present assured their full cooperation and support in ensuring that the benefits of the programme reach deserving entrepreneurs, enabling them to upgrade their skills, improve business performance, and contribute to the economic development of the district.
