JAMMU: Jammu Motor Vehicles LLP, an authorised dealership of Mahindra & Mahindra, launched the all-new Mahindra Veero in Jammu on Monday, with prices starting at ₹7.99 lakh.
The new light commercial vehicle is positioned in the sub-3.5-tonne segment and is designed around mileage, payload capacity, safety and multiple powertrain options.
The vehicle was unveiled by Manohar Gupta, Pepsi Sales Head–Jammu and Kashmir, as the chief guest, in the presence of Amandeep Singh Wadhwa, Regional Manager, Chandigarh Regional Office, Mahindra & Mahindra; Vishal Sharma, Area Sales Manager–J&K; Swatantar Aggarwal, Chairman, Aggarwal Group; Vineet Aggarwal, Nitin Aggarwal and other members of the Aggarwal Group, besides representatives of banks and NBFCs, customers and staff members of Jammu Motor Vehicles LLP.
Speaking at the launch, Vineet Aggarwal, Managing Partner, Jammu Motor Vehicles LLP, said the Veero is built on Mahindra’s Urban Prosper Platform (UPP), described as a ground-up multi-energy modular commercial vehicle platform. He said the platform is engineered to support payloads ranging from one tonne to more than two tonnes across different deck lengths and accommodate diesel, CNG and electric powertrains.
The Veero offers a payload capacity of up to 1,600 kg, cargo length of up to 3,035 mm, claimed diesel mileage of 18.4 km/l and a 5.1-metre turning radius. Features include a driver-side airbag option, reverse parking camera, 26.03-cm touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, power windows and connected-vehicle technology.
The vehicle is available with diesel and CNG fuel options, XL and XXL cargo configurations and CBC, Standard Deck and High Deck options. The ex-showroom prices range from ₹7.99 lakh to ₹9.56 lakh across the listed variants, while the airbag option on V2 and V4 variants is available at an additional ₹15,000.
The Veero’s variants offer features ranging from adjustable driver seating, flat-fold seats and mobile docking in the V2 to air-conditioning, adjustable headrests and fast-charging USB Type-C connectivity in the V4. The V6 adds features including a touchscreen infotainment system, power windows, reverse parking camera, steering-mounted controls, iMAXX connected-vehicle technology, immobiliser and a fully trimmed cabin.
Manohar Gupta said the launch marked an addition to the commercial vehicle segment in Jammu and highlighted the Veero’s diesel and CNG options, payload capacity and technology features. He said the vehicle was intended to meet the operational requirements of businesses involved in trade, transport and connectivity across the region.
Jammu Motor Mahindra currently has a commercial vehicle presence through showrooms at Kunjwani, Mishriwala, Poonch, Reasi and Kishtwar, offering models including Bolero Pickup, Maxx Pickup, Bolero Camper and Veero. The dealership also operates last-mile mobility outlets and has workshops in Jammu, Poonch and Kishtwar, besides its main workshop and body shop at the Industrial Area, Gangyal.
