JAMMU: A new milestone in Jammu’s healthcare sector was achieved today with the inauguration of Imprimis IVF & Fertility Centre, a specialised facility offering advanced fertility treatments. The centre was inaugurated by Kavinder Gupta, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
The ceremony was attended by Shyam Jaju, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, and Sumit Ankur Singh from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The event began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and ribbon-cutting, followed by a formal welcome of the Chief Guest with a shawl, Ram Darbar idol and floral bouquet.
Chief Guest’s address
Congratulating the Imprimis IVF team, the LG said that in the present era of lifestyle-related infertility, such modern centres are the “need of the hour”. He appreciated the institution’s advanced facilities and urged the management to expand services to Leh–Ladakh so that people in the region can also benefit. He also stressed on Free OPD services for economically weaker sections.

- Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP, termed it a significant addition to Jammu’s healthcare infrastructure.
- Sumit Ankur Singh stressed the need to take infertility issues seriously and pointed to alcohol and substance abuse as possible contributing factors requiring further research.

Among those present were Founder & Director Naveen, CEO Arvinder Singh, Director Osman Dar, and Director Dr. Rakesh Samal. The LG praised their leadership and encouraged establishing facilities in Ladakh as well.
Honouring specialists and conclusion
The event, moderated by Dr. Rakesh Samal, also featured an award ceremony honouring specialist doctors Dr. Iram Shafi Akhun, Dr. Shruti Gupta, Dr. Rakesh Samal and Dr. Sudhanshu Rath for contributions in medical services.
CEO Arvinder Singh expressed gratitude to guests, doctors and staff. Other attendees included Ragini, Vineet, Aarish, Ashish, Bhuri and Anita.
