REASI: Government Polytechnic College Reasi successfully organised Udyam Jagriti 5.0 – College Hackathon/ Campaign under Mission YUVA in the institute as per the directions of district administration.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Additional District Development Commissioner Reasi (Nodal Officer Mission YUVA), Krishan Lal. The event provided an engaging platform for students and aspiring entrepreneurs to understand entrepreneurship, leadership, skill development, industry readiness and overall personality development among students.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Principal Dr. Arun Bangotra who briefed the students about the objectives, significance and various activities associated with the Udyam Jagriti 5.0 campaign. He encouraged the students to develop confidence, practical skills, innovative thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset to successfully meet the challenges of the modern professional world.
Er. Himanshu Bakshi, Placement Coordinator under Mission YUVA, focused on sensitising and familiarising students with the Udyam Jagriti 5.0 Hackathon, particularly the process of idea generation, development and submission. Sheetal Sharma, SBDU Coordinator Reasi, highlighted institutional opportunities for skill development, entrepreneurship pathways and practical learning frameworks that can help students transform their ideas into meaningful opportunities. Palvi Sharma, BHD Coordinator Reasi, focused on student welfare, foundational training and holistic personal growth, encouraging students to strengthen both their professional and personal capabilities.
Saima Paul BHD lead Reasi, spoke about the importance of the campaign and motivated the students to take advantage of the various opportunities and support mechanisms available for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Vikram Rana from the Employment Department emphasised the importance of precision, effective communication and organisational skills in administrative as well as corporate settings. A young Entrepreneur of Reasi Shoaib Akhtar also interacted with the students, sharing valuable insights from the entrepreneurial and professional world. His interaction encouraged students to think innovatively, identify opportunities and develop an entrepreneurial outlook.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to present their innovative ideas before the audience and faculty members. Students actively participated in the interaction and shared their feedback, making the event highly engaging and meaningful.
The event was coordinated by faculty members Er. Sunil Kumar, Parshotam Lal, Ayushi Magotra, Akanksha Sharma, Meenakshi Devi, Sonika Attri, Veena Thappa, Vandana Sharma and Parshotam Singh.
The event concluded with an encouraging and positive response from the students.
